Compulsive Fishing Disorder

Can't stop thinking about fishing.  Not sure what's wrong with me.

I went on Monday for about 6 hours and caught three trout.  Luckily for my son, I was responsible enough to keep track of time and pick him up from school.

I ate the fish for dinner that night and was even kind enough to offer some to the wife and oldest son.  The younger son is too young to eat fish, but not too young to start brainwashing.  "Soon you'll be old enough to go fishing with Dad and then your Mother's failure will be complete."

On Tuesday I went to the store and bought some size twelve treble hooks and a few other things I needed.  And then I spent the rest of the day thinking about fishing.

Wednesday I watched some really shitty trout fishing videos on the Internet.  After watching about six of these lousy tings I realized that I would have no problem revolutionizing fishing on the Internet.  I may just have to make a vid the next time I go out.

Today is Thursday, February 25th and so far I've spent the day thinking about fishing.  Before I started writing this post I hit a Meijer and bought a spinner.  I even toyed around with the idea of  turning Corky's log into Corky's fishing log this morning, but that would be ridiculous.  Come June I'll be all fished out and ready for Football Season.  Everyone knows that.

Some upcoming blog topics include:

1. Why I'm a better at fishing than you.
2. How Catfish made me almost quit fishing forever.
3. At Summer camp while the other guys were getting kicked out of the girls cabin I was getting kicked out of the fishing station.
4. Thanks to a fishing pole I passed 7th grade science.

I love fish, but have never really fished (unless you count putting worms on the hook when I was 5).. I like Lake Erie perch! :D

I actually like to fish too - as long as someone else will do the dirty work and take the fish off the hook for me. And scrum - trout!

I vote for the video!!! You would be an awesome fishing host.

Been fishing in the ocean mate?
THAT is fishing!
Catching 200 snapper in an hour.
Catching a Hapuka at 200 metres deep and hauling it up and finding it's bigger than you!
Catching a shark and shooting it in the head with a shotgun!
BLISS.
I LOVE FISHING.

Just good to see you posting again... Fishing can be fun. If someone is there to remove them off the hook for me. :)

Fishing is big out here in northern New England--ice fishing has been huge on the local ponds (I'm not sure the ice lasted very long this year). Now, we're in the thaw stage, so I'm not sure much is going on.
