Allyson and I have been staying with Kim Jong Ramone for the last couple of days (he kind of begged me to stay). When he asked me if he could work from home today because of the storm I told him that this was acceptable as long as he understood that his office and computer would be used as the Captain Corky Nor'easter tracking center. Here at the center my responsibilities include monitoring the storm with state of the art technology, like the Internet, TV and the window. And every half hour I go out and shovel the sidewalk like a 70 year old man.
Hopefully the storm will end by tomorrow so we can head back to Louisville. I've got a ton of pics that I plan on posting next week and I hope everyone is well.

So when does the unlitmate snowball fight start?
The snow has to stop and it has to start melting early tomorrow. My sister and brother in law are flying back from Scotland and they are flying into Newark before heading on home to Omaha.
See if you can do something about that, would ya?
Jet Blue cancelled 215 flights because of the crap weather on Long Island.
Bummer.
I hope for your job's sake you get home in a timely manner, but don't endanger yourself, Allyson and the baby trying to hurry back.
:)
Stay safe!
Good to know you've set up a command post there in New Jersey.
We expect updates as the storm progresses. ;-)
As we learned here in Hell, you don't mess with Mother Nature.... :(

This is particularly why I didn't like living on the East Coast.
The title of this post describes exactly what is going on outside my apartment building right now... Good thing I didn't go to work today! LOL
We are in for an Artic blast this weekend apparently. I am wondering why Americans shovel snow so much? Why don't you just walk through it like the rest of us?
The pouring rain here changed to sleet hours ago. Next comes the snow. This is just cruel. Enjoy the Chinese food. Yum!
Sounds like your vacation is going good...bring on the pictures!
wwhoohooo....capitan...sounds like you had the best time ever....looking forward to seeing the pics....yay:)
Hope you guys get home soon, we've missed you Cork! Well I didn't get enough snow this year, but I guess my one day will have to do...
Hurry back safely! :)
AJ

I find the window to be a very accurate and cutting edge technology for weather tracking. If you really want to get precise you can open the door and stick your nose out too.
(good to see you back on blogland. I'm back too!)
Can't wait to see pics. Also I put up a new poem. And an actual post. :)
I have never been trapped by the weather. Unless you count an earthquake as weather.
Begged you to stay? More like I came home and you were babbling something about Squatter's rights.
When life gives you snow, you throw it at someone not looking.
