33

From my point of view it's Monday morning. I have to be at work by 11:00 tonight. Thankfully I got some sleep last night and I'm ready to face week 33. The end of week 32 wasn't too bad. On Friday night I watched two season finales and one series finale with Allyson. Due to all the work I've been doing I missed a lot of primetime television, but I'm all caught up now.

Smallville's season finale was great. Everybody is apparently dead, but somehow I highly doubt that Clark Kent's dead. Call it a hunch.

The Gilmore Girls series finale was pretty good and a little sad. I kind of wish Rory got hit by a bus in the final episode, but any network executive that doen't go after Lauren Graham for a new show should be shot.

And that brings us to Grey's Anatomy. I read on a lot of blogs that people didn't really like the season finale. Are you kidding? It was revealed that Chyler Leigh is joining the cast next season. Don't tell me you've never seen Not Another Teen Movie! It makes fun of every teen movie from the 80's and early 90's. It's a brilliant movie take my word for it, and if you don't believe me just ask the Birdman. Other highly regarded movies from Corky and the Birdman include: Grease 2, and a slew of other great movies.

Saturday was a pretty good day too. I helped a guy I work with paint his house. His name is Nate and he is studying to become a Southern Baptist Minister. He spends most of his time when were together trying to convert me (I must have a sign on my back that screams out "Save Me") but he's actually a really good guy.

Saturday night our friend Erika threw us a baby shower. It was really nice of her and it's now official that Corky Jr. will never where the same outfit twice.

When we got back from the shower I took a picture of the moon.

Sunday I spent the day with my lovely wife preparing for week 40 until Sunday became Monday, roughly around 5 o'clock or so. Then I drank a cup of coffee and wrote this post and now I have to take a piss. Have a great week 33 everyone!

Glad you had a good weekend, Cap'n!
Hang in there, Allyson!!!
Only 7 more weeks!

Wow, 33 weeks already? The moon and venus was awesome last night.

The Moon and Venus. Sounds like a bad sitcom name, doesn't it?

So, what's this "week" stuff? Why are you counting them?

**

I find it hard to believe anyone in a movie like "Not Another Teen Movie" could actually find legitimate work, but, damn, she is attractive!

Corky you are the TV God! I don't watch any of those shows but now I feel like I must really have missed out on something.

Hope you enjoyed your piss.

Glad to hear that everything is going good!

Wow. Only 7 more weeks! I hope that week 33 rocks.
I don't watch any of the shows that you just mentioned. I have seen Smallville, but not in ages, and I am not a fan of Gilmore Girls..although, I WOULD have tuned in if someone would have been hit by a bus.

They go by quickly don't they? Glad you had a good weekend.

Great image of the moon. It is funny you say the baby wont wear the same outfit twice, it means they will be able to go out in style every day along side mum and dad :)

I saw on a TV ad here that Jericho will be back on soon...I love that show ...did you like it too?

Alicia: Thanks! We are getting very excited and Allyson says that she feels ready.

Michael C: Yeah it does. Maybe Moon and Venus is about two adult children of hippies that turn out to be really obnoxious republicans. Kind of like Family Ties.

Malnurtured Snay: Welcome to the log. my wife and I are expecting our first child in about 7 weeks or so.

Jay: The piss wasn't bad. Not as good as if I drank 5 beers but not bad.

Don't worry Jay! You can spend the entire summer catching up on all of these shows.

Chucky: Thanks pal.

Biddie: Thanks. Week 33 should be a great one. And trust me you wouldn't like Rory Gilmore.

Whimsicalnbrainpan: Yeah time is flying. I think Allyson is ready though.

Cazzie!!!: Thanks. I thought it looked awesome on Saturday night.

The baby is going to look styling, I don't know about his parents so much. ;)

Wow, you are going to have a baby before you know it! The last few weeks are going to fly by!

Jenny! said...

Oh, I don't think Clark Kent lives, he has a twin brother!

would you mind if i used your picture for the thing i wrote about yesterday? mine's actually from a few years back that looked almost identitical, but i wanted some visual aid. i wrote only from my memory because i didn't have a camera. yours is exactly what i remember.

my best friend's wife is having their baby sometime this week. i remember all the clothes. i want to get them something useful, but it's been so long since my boys were babies that i can't remember what you need.

I don't watch any of these shows you talked about. So I'm extra grateful that you put that beautiful woman there for me to stare at afterwards.

Much obliged.

She's HOT! I am definitely going to watch more Greys Anatomy next season! Woo hooooo!

I'm pretty psyched for week 40. Will there be beer?

Gina said...

I HATED the Grey's Anatomny finale, and if Der hooks up with half-sister chick, I'm gonna stop watching.

Anyhoo, I had Mr. P at 36 weeks, so you never know when that baby wants to get out of there!

And, Mr. P has been much better dressed than both his parents for his entire life.

I like Chyler Leigh and am really hoping Grey's gets better next season.

I used to LOVE the show, but it's gotten a little stale to me and they really jumped the shark with that whole "Meredith drowning" 3 episode shit. ACK!

Blancodeviosa: The last couple of episodes of Heroes have been really good!

Furiousball: I'll do my best not to put you in that uncomfortable position.

Jenny: It's ridiculous how fast time has gone by!

I wonder who they're going to get to play Clark's twin. I wonder if Tom Welling's available...

Eric: I have know idea what we need, but I'm sure we have it. And the picture is yours.

Dan: That's what I'm here for pal.

Rockdog: Week 40 will have cigars, beer, strippers and clowns. Well, maybe just cigars, and of course flowers for my wife.

Gina: Losing Addison might do that show in anyway.

Yeah, the kid is going to look like a million bucks while his parents look like Thing 1 and Thing 2.

Pissy: Yeah I'm not a real big fan of Meredith's. She's really annoying.

The only show Hoop and I watch is LOST. I don't even know why we own cable...

Accept maybe to watch LOST in HD.

The picture of the moon is awesome! What kind of lens did you use?

Love the pic!

Corky - its not the sign on your back that says Save Me! Its the life preserver you wear around your neck wherever you go!

;)

Happy week 33! Its gonna be great.

And no CJr will never wear the same outfit twice because he will grow out of them quicker than you can wash them!

I thought the Grey's season finale was incredible. It was MUCH better than that crap episode where they tried to force feed us Kate Walshs show.

Grey's was excellent. Not Another Teen Movie is also excellent. And good luck with week 33.

I took the same picture. What a great night sky it was. My neighbor called me from the road to ask if it was the Internationl Space Station we were seeing. It was a planet, right?

Loved Gray's finale. I'm gonna miss George.

captain corky said...

Tink: My wife likes Lost a lot. I don't really watch it.

I used a Kodak easy share 3x zoom. I wish I had a cooler answer. ;)

Karma: Thanks!

Pinks: I think I really might. Guardian angels have a tendency of showing up in the funniest places in my life. ;) Enjoy week 33!

Kat: I think it's a mistake that Kate Walsh is leaving. But I like her enough to give her show a chance, and thankfully she won't be talking to the fucking elevator in future episodes.

Cheryl: Yeah, I think it's Venus.

Do you think George is gone for good?

I miss Gilmore Girls... I guess I'll have to get the DVDs. LOL.

Metal Mark said...

I have seen "Not another teen movie" and struggled to make it through. I saw Grease 2 and it wasn't as bad as I feared.

captain corky said...

Beader: We have like three or 4 seasons on DVD. After Smallville goes off the air they might as well flush the CW down the toilet.

Mark: The guy who plays Jake in Not Another Teen Movie plays the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four Movies and he essentially plays the same character.

I don't watch any of those shows. My attention span is only long enough for commercials. Can you do a post about commercials so that I can join in?

Aunt Jackie said...

It's getting down to it now!! You're going to be a great dad!

Hey I saw this view of the moon, well mine it looked a little closer together... I love the moon.

captain corky said...

Mist 1: I'm usually stuffing my face, or pouring myself a drink during commercials but I'll see what I can do.

Aunt Jackie: Thanks Jackie. It's getting really close!
