The Stuff

So it's looking like the transfusion is going to be a success. 70 percent of my blood is now 100 percent Colombian medium roast. It's a good thing to because I don't know what I would do without the stuff.

From a psychological stand point anytime I start to feel weak about certain things I make a pot of the stuff. Can't do this, that or the other thing, but I can and will drink coffee. Right after I quit dipping I made a pot of coffee to go with my pot of coffee. I'm just now getting to a point where I don't want to dip and its been almost 2 full months since I quit.

From a physical stand point I've needed a lot of the stuff this week because all I've been doing is working and to be quite honest with you I'm pretty fucking tired. By the way, I apologize If the word fuck offends you. Can I offer you some coffee? Just put your cup under my nose.

From a spiritual point of view whenever the shit has hit the fan I've always reached for the coffee pot first. Coffee's always been there for me, even more so than television. There I said it. Believe it.

Other great coffee drinkers include Alicia and Cheryl.

I once tried to quit coffee because someone convinced me that it was making my blood pressure elevate. They recommended taking a scoop full of ice cubes and pouring them into my crotch instead to wake up. I have to say, although the ice cubes to the balls was effective, I found the elevated blood pressure to kick the shit out of it.

Well it's nice to always have something there you can count on when you need it.

I don't drink coffee. Maybe someday I should give it a try and see what the big deal is aobut it. Who knows, it could be fun and exciting.

Coffee is evil! I cannot function w/o my coffee in the morning. It doesn't effect my sleeping b/c I can down a Venti Starbucks at 9pm at night and go to bed at 11. The "downs" suck, I amlost feel asleep at my desk the other day b/c I needed my afternoon rush! Just wait til the baby comes...you will be chugging it and taking enemas at the same time.

I love coffee. Some my friends in college used to call me Commander Caffeine because I would normally drink a pot of coffee after eight o'clock each night.

You can add me to other great coffee drinkers.

*Raises right hand* yes, I am a coffee addict.

I grind my coffee every morning and drink the entire pot, usually with a line attached to my arm...

Right now as I type this I am drinking FOLGERS GOURMET SUPREME.
It's the strongest coffee I've tasted from a grocery store that doesn't taste bitter.
Of course since I am health concious these days I lighten and sweeten with coffeemate or international delight in Sugar-Free French Vanilla or Hazelnut.

I used to go into coffee shops a long time ago and get a shot of espresso... and add like 5 packets of sugar and a shitload of cream.
That was LONG before lattees were popular.
I'm such a trendsetter!

I like coffee and I get hooked on it from time to time...I like the flavored stuff...smells good, tastes good, it's a Win Win for me.

There's a tear running down my cheek from laughing so hard. And the 'Coffee! You can sleep when you're dead!---that's priceless. And, hmmm, I'll skip the nose and share the pot.

Good for you for quitting the dipping!

And uh, count me in the minority of people who don't like coffee. I'm sure that offends more people than the word "fuck."

I like to smell it when it is brewing though, does that count for anything?

I'm getting more and more coffee-transfused myself. My Mother, however will get severe headaches if she doesn't get her Folder's automatic drip... I've seen her nearly catatonic without her coffee.

On the up side, she's one of the most healthy mobile people I know, especially at 70!

Blancodeviosa: I want to know more about your name. Are you going to post that story any time soon?

PS. I heart Crack too.

Furiousball: The person who tried to get you to quit drinking coffee, did he happen to go by the name Beelzebub or the prince of darkness?

Jay: You should try it. Especially with all of the traveling you do.

Jenny: I'm looking forward to chugging coffee while taking enemas, should be a lot of fun. ;)

Metal Mark: Commander Caffeine: I like it a lot.

Etain. Nothing hits the spot like stimulating conversation about coffee over a cup of coffee.

Kat: "Well brewed"
Love it!

Bardouble: A person who mainlines coffee is a welcome member to the Great Coffee Drinkers Club.

Alicia: I drink Millstone. You can find it in a lot of gas stations (in Kentucky at least) that are trying to compete with places like Starbucks. It's really strong and not bitter at all. Especially after I add an inch of cream and two packets of Splenda.

Rockdog: Have you ever tried Irish Coffee? It's a pretty good concept. Caffeine and alcohol. That's a win win situation too!

Cheryl: I consider that to be one of my personal Mottos. It's great isn't it?

Gina: Thanks. I guess I can forgive you for not liking coffee. ;) What's your poison?

Aunt Jackie: More and more studies are showing that coffee is good for you. Finally a product I like that doesn't tell I'm going to lose half my face if I use it.

Lady K: Fuck is a good word! Probably my favorite right after miscreant, and Barnswallow.

There have been many mornings where I wished I had a coffee IV. Ahhhh. Coffee-goodness.

I used to be a proud non-coffee drinker. Then, I had my 4th kid. I realized I must worship at the coffee alter if I should survive and alas, I am one of the converted. I can't imagine my mornings without it. Well, I can, but it's just not pretty.

I love me some coffee! I used to drink over 8 cups a day..Now, it's a once in awhile indulgence. I do love Timmies.

Gina said...

Corky, I usually try to make my way through a forty of Olde English every day.

Kidding!

But doesn't that sound much more interesting than tea?

whimsical brainpan said...

Congratulations!

There are two things that I always make sure I have in the house no matter what, coffee and tp.

captain corky said...

Tink: I would be a much more productive human being if I had a permanent coffee IV.

Karma: Coffee>poison in my world. Coffee Saves.

Sunshine: 3 Kids and no Coffee??? How did you manage? I can't even put in 8 hours of work without at least 3 cups. Well, I'm glad you finally came over to the Dark Side.

Biddie: I just learned that Timmies is Canada's greatest and oldest coffee chain. So next time I'm up in Canada we should go to Timmies. See, I can speak Canadian with the best of them. ;)

Gina: Malt liquor? Are you flirting with me? ;)

Whimsicalnbrainpan: In a pinch I could make do without the tp. Kidding. ;)

Um...I'll pass on the offer for a cup of coffee if it comes out of your nose!

Hang in there and try to get some rest this weekend.

As an interfaith minister I must say that I am vehemently opposed to the use of crack.

Heroin however, is ok...as long as you're not shooting heroines.

Hoosiergirl5: How do you take your coffee? 2 creams and one sugar?

Pinks: Thanks. I think I got a lot of rest last night, but I'll know better by Tuesday.

Abbagirl74: Me too! Love, love, love it!

Beader: When I was younger I liked drinking tea while relaxing. Now I like to drink vodka with ice when I am relaxing. ;)

Pissy: I still love you even though coffee isn't your cup of tea.
