Love

I googled love and this is the best I could come up with for an image... This is the part where I apologise for the human condition. Although, what a rack and what curves!!!

Anyway, I felt the rain tonight. It reminded me of how happy I am to be alive. It's so easy to forget sometimes... There are a lot of miserable motherfucker's here on this planet, but I'm not one of them, thank God.

I started writing this post after I put a serious dent into a bottle of Vodka on Saturday night. It's now Monday morning and I'm still in love with myself and the world, just not as much if you know what I mean. On Saturday night I became a radio star on Rockdog's radio show, "Rockdog Unleashed." Too bad I didn't start drinking an hour earlier because then the world could have heard what a true Genius I really am... Anyway, that's one more accomplishment I can check off on my long list of goals in life. I'm even thinking about starting my own radio show at some point, but what I really want out of life is a Saturday morning cartoon about me. That's when I'll truly know I've made it.

Week 38 is hear ya'all. The baby can come at anytime. Maybe later today, maybe tomorrow. 15 days till the due date. That's it. Can't wait!

Sorry I missed the show. I knew that you would be the 'surprise' guest, and I couldn't wait to hear what you had to say..I knew that it would be pure genius. (We had ALL of the kids out of teh house, tho, and I was a little tied up..er, otherwise engaged..umm, I mean, we were busy).
Can I still check it out in rerun form?
Did you have to post that photo of New York?
Good Grief, Corky? I just woke up, and my eyes are barely adjusted...*shudders*
Week 38! Yay! Anytime now! How is Allyson feeling? This is so exciting!

I'll have to check out the Rockdog show. Because you know how I like to rock.

I Love New York is to culture as hobo's asshole is to good soup.

:( I missed the show. Sorry. I blame it on the Vicodin I was on at the time. And having a Saturday morning cartoon made about yourself would be the awesomest thing ever. I think that's almost as good as being in a Muppet movie. ;)

Heart: Very nice! What channel is your reality show on? ;)

Biddie: No problem. We had a good time though.

Nothing like a little New York to get your day started just right!

Heidi: Very exciting times!

Furiousball: I couldn't have said it better myself!

Karma: I blame the 5 missing years of my 20's on Vicodin. ;)

Sorry I missed the show too. You want your own Saturday morning cartoon? LOL...that's gotta be one of the coolest ambitions ever!

Lady K said...

DAMMIT! I missed it! I was all geared up and...well, I drank vodka too, and...

huh? It's Monday already?

Have a great week, Corky! Is the baby here yet? How about now? Now? What about now? LOL Bet you guys are getting anxious, huh?

Can ya send some of that rain down here? Monsoon just isn't close enough yet.

you are one lucky mo fo. I'm glad you know it, Corks :)

New York give NY a bad name!

It was a blast having you on the show even though Jay tried to throw us by saying that Alice was a bitch...LOL!

Good times Man!

PS...you should TOTALLY have your own show as well! It would be insane!

Sunshine said...

I anxiously await the arrival of Seamus Cletus Corky Jr.

Jay said...

You did a good job on Rockdog's show man. You were a natural. It was like you've been on the radio all your life.

LOL!! U are famous now!!! :)

I am looking forward to hearing about the new arrival. So I won't be mean and mention that babies come when they are darn good and ready...sometimes first babies can be up to 2 weeks late..but oh yeah, I said I won't mention that..lmao. oopsssss..lol

What would the name of your Sat. Morn. Cartoon be??? Can't be Cpt. Corky!

Baby sense is telling me that he will come in 19 days!

you'll probably grab the luggage and leave allyson behind ;)

Chris Morris said...

Sorry I missed your debut.

Aunt Jackie said...

Ok, now what is up with that chick?? **rolls eyes** Just leaving a comment... I'm sitting here waiting patiently for the birth of Corky Jr... **sigh** (taps foot impatiently)

Webmiztris said...

New York cracks me up. She looks like a living caricature. LOL

Metal Mark said...

You are lucky to have gotten rain, it's really dry here.

Big Pissy said...

I want you to have BOTH a cartoon AND a radio show.

Either that....or a regular spot on SNL.

I really like those moments when I "feel the rain" and realize how good it is to be alive. What a good feeling.

"15 days till the due date. That's it. Can't wait!" I'll bet your wife can't wait either!

Molly said...

Okay, I confess to checking in for baby news. You understand that enquiring minds want to know of the baby's arrival.

whimsical brainpan said...

I missed the start of your fame!!! If you get a cartoon show can I be in an episode?

Waiting with baited breath to hear when the little one arrives.

captain corky said...

Tod: We aim very high out here in the Corky family. ;)

Lady K: It rained a bit, but not nearly enough! It's supposed to rain tomorrow and Wednesday though.

Pink: Thanks. Sometimes I forget though and need to be straightened out. ;)

Rockdog: You my friend, are the true radio talent.

Sunshine: Me too. :)

captain corky said...

Jay: LOL! Let's not get carried away. I hear you're going to be on next week. That's what I hear anyway.

Beader: Would you like to be the president of my fan club? ;)

Canadian Flake: This baby will come on time. After he's born he will get straight A's, eat all of his vegetables, and always clean his room, just like I did when I was a kid... ;)

Jenny: Your prediction has been noted. Unfortunately, if you guess correctly all you get in this contest is a pat on the back. ;)

Blancodeviosa: I can definitely see that happening. I almost guarantee it.

captain corky said...

Beefcake: Just don't miss my television debut! Um... Not exactly sure when that will be.

Aunt Jackie: Allyson's pretty much doing the same exact thing right now as I type this.

Webmiztris: New York's a bit of a freak but very entertaining.

Metal Mark: Yeah everything is just about dead here. We could really use a couple of weeks worth of rain.

captain corky said...

Big Pissy: I'm aiming for the cartoon. I'll do my own voice of course. ;)

Gawilli: No she can't. Along with all the discomfort, she's really anxious to meet this kid.

MJD: Thanks for stopping in. I'll be giving you plenty of updates over the next 20 years I suppose.

Whim: Of course you can be in an episode. But you will have to provide your own voice. ;)

That is a nice image of love.

And I need to go get some Vodka love and therapy, myself.

A buzz is the true secret to writing good poetry. And don't take too long.

eric1313 said...

Those are the secrets, as laid out by my boy Charles Bukowski, the original barfly poet.

Later, and thanks for the shout.

Chris Morris said...

I don't know what's more disgusting.

New York, herself...

Or the mental image I get of her and Flavor Flav having sex.

Pardon me while I puke.

Anonymous said...

I really can't believe it is just 15 days away!!!

Anonymous said...

I think the radio afterparty on the web cam was pretty rocking but I couldn't actually hear the show.

Cindy-Lou said...

The longest two weeks of your wife's entire life.

captain corky said...

Eric313: Cheers my friend.

Beefcake: The image of Flavor Flav having sex is just about one of the nastiest images a human being can imagine.

Birdman: I wouldn't know from Trannys. Is there something you're trying to say?

The after party was a lot of fun. Hopefully next week's will be bigger.

Cindy-lou: I think I'm beginning to understand what you mean by this...;)

Anonymous: The only news we're interested on the log is News about Captain Corky and friends, but thanks for stopping by. I always appreciate an extra comment pal.

Dizzie said...

Oh, that would have to be IYD . short for In Your Dreams. I will not - I repeat: NOT - stretch my stuff on national (or international) TV...

I prefer to keep my magnificence to myself! LOL

You missed one post today...

The Lone Beader® said...

Haha...

And, the Birdman doesn't like the Beatles????? What is WRONG with him?? *lOl*

Pink said...

By the way...I think they already made a cartoon about you...wasn't it the flintstones?

Aren't you going to name Jr BamBam?

38 weeks, woot woot! Amazing stuff, the last two weeks. I loved this post, love the honest real stuff, guess i got the same feeling last night and ripped off some heavy thoughts. But damn if my google adds aren't back in line! Nice to see I am not alone or nuts. Do a guest post for me sometime eh? Love the way you write, am sure the radio show would be a hit.

Tink said...

The chick looks constipated.

I bet she would LOVE some prune juice right about now.

Gina said...

Wow! Any day now!

Yes, I know you are a gem to your wife, but be a little extra pampering these next few days, 'k?

So excited for you guys!

baby corky's not here yet??

GOOD LUCk GUYS!

And how did I not know about this radio gig??

Hazed said...

While the song is rather macabre, and the meaning isn't quite the same, when I read your reference to rain, I thought of one of my favorite songs. Gravedigger, by Dave Matthews mentions "feeling the rain", throughout. He sings, "gravedigger, when you dig my grave, will you make it shallow, so I can feel the rain..." While I hope none of us need a gravedigger anytime, soon, I do agree with the special emotions that feeling the rain cleanse the earth brings on.

Oh yeah...can't wait to see that baby! And tell Mrs. Corky to take the epidural! :)

magickat said...

I haven't been able to check in for a while... thought there might be some baby news but apparantly nothing yet.

Glad to hear you participated in self-love though. At least that's what it seemed like you meant.

Is that what you meant????

Dan said...

Gotta love that rack and those curves. :)

Cindy-Lou said...

Just wait until she says "I hear having sex is supposed to jump start labor."

It doesn't, but hey, you're not going to complain, now are ya?

captain corky said...

Beader: I've been asking that same question for the last 25 years. LOL

Pink: Calling me Fred Flintstone tends to over excite me. Please remember, this is a family blog. ;)

Jenny: I promise as soon as he's available for pictures. :)

Heidi: Thanks. :) We can't wait!

Modern Mommy: Thanks! I would love too.

captain corky said...

Tink: Welcome back! New York has all sorts of issues and needs lots of help.

Gina: I'm being a good boy. And I'm so glad to see you that I wish I could pull your pigtails.

Tuesday: Too much time at the Jersey shore starring at Guidos. ;)

Fridaysweb: I'm pretty sure she decided to get the epidural the week after she found out she was pregnant. Gravedigger is a pretty good song, by the way.

Kat: Who knows what I meant. I wrote that post so long ago. ;)

captain corky said...

Dan: Too true!

Cindy-lou: Absolutely not. ;)

Pink: Not quite yet. ;)

Michael C: Any minute pal.

Jerrster: You'll find that we encourage comments around here. Don't we gang?
