Two Weeks

Ladies and Gentleman,

On Saturday we spent almost 4 hours getting pictures done. During those 4 hours we did a lot of waiting, picking, posing, and feeding. I know I fed at least once or twice while we were there.

In other news, the reason that I haven't been around as much as I usually am is because we're moving in two weeks. That's right folks, not only does Corky get professional pictures done two weeks before Christmas, but he also uproots his family and moves from shitty, cramped, out grown apartment, into a three bedroom home with basement, and lots of potential, four days before Christmas.

Theoretically.

So fear not, I will be around plenty, and I plan on taking lots of before and after pics of the house, but I'll get to more on that later. How many days until Christmas?

Holy shit!

I need to know more about this house!! Buying? Renting? Leasing? Thats so exciting! Congrats!

4 days before Christmas is a little rough though...

PS- that pic on the left is simply adorable!!

How many days until Christmas?

That's an easy one. The number of days until you move PLUS four. :)

You'll be busy. Take it slow.

Yeah Holy Shit is right!!!!

I want me a little max man. Guess I'll just have to settle for oogeling his pictures. hehehehe

Congrats on the house!!!!

Max is adorable, Cap'n, but I suspect you already knew that. The missus and I can't wait to see him again.

Good luck with the move. Verily, it will sucketh; but you will enjoy homeownership. There's nothing like it. Plus you'll get to do lots and lots and lots and lots of painting. I mean, if that's not a plus, I don't know what is.

Oh, and Happy Chanukah, you big lug.

Michael Colvin said...

Good luck with the move. I'm sure it will be hectic but it sounds like you will have lots of much needed space for Max to grow. Or is it to make more room for your action figure collection?

Max's pics look great by the way!

Captain Jr. is certainly photogenic. Look at that smile - I'd be butter around that smile.

That is fantastic news that you're getting a house! Congratulations! And you know, basement = mancave. That's really terrific news, and I can't wait to see pictures.

I'm concerned about your use of the word Theoretically in that post.

Moving...theoretically?
Potential...theoretically?
$ days before Christmas...theoretically?

And why, oh why, don't you hold a Corky Move-a-Thing-a-Thon Weekend Extravaganza, and get all your blogger fiends...er...friends to each carry one box to the new, theoretically, house?

Cute kid. Not a theory. Fact.

I can't believe you picked this time of year to move though. YIKES!

dawn said...

We have still never had professional pictures done of our kids. My wife does well enough with the digital camera.
At least you are getting your move done before the playoffs.

Adorable pictures, as usual.

I would help with the "move-a-thon", if you wanted me to. My new boyfriend drives a semi-truck....we could move a lot of boxes that way!!

Whoo-hoo for the new house!!! And he is smashingly adorable as usual. Pictures well worth the 4 hour wait. :)

Aunt Jackie said...

Well he's just absolutely the most photogenic person I've seen in a while! (next to me -when I take self-portraits that is) lol j/k.

I'm so happy for you guys but I hope you make it through the holiday move o.k., that sort of sucks right at Christmas but hey what a wonderful present!!!

Happiest Holidays ever to you and the rest of your family!!

Miss you... Aunt Jaxxx

Jo said...

What a wonderful Christmas present for you and your family! If I don't see you, Merry Christmas!

Lordy, I CANNOT STAND the cuteness!

Good luck with your move, Corky. Hey, we've got a Toyota pickup if you want to borrow it!

Awesome news. I really hope I can swing a few days of vacation in January so I can see the place right after you move in and help out if needed. I know it's killing you to not have the train set up all the way up to the big day!

Molly said...

There you are, Corky. You are getting ready to move. My son and his wife are waiting for the arrival of their daughter anyday now. They live in an apartment too.

Of course, the Max pictures are wonderful.(I hope that 4 hours is an exaggeration.)

Marykay: Thank you! I'll be in and out before Christmas and I have at least two more post coming.

Merelyme: Thank you! ;)

Nancy: Thank you very much. :)

Tuesday: Thanks. ;) Definitely not renting. I'll have more of the story and I'll post some pics soon. But I do have some Christmas posts to do first.

Dan: Good to see you back in action!

captain corky said...

Leighann: Thanks. ;)

I hope it doesn't snow the day of the move. That would suck!

Big Pissy: Thanks!!! And I like exclamation points too! ;)

Dana: I agree.

Me a nut? LOL!

Furiousball: The food court was right across the way. I may have wandered off once or twice.

captain corky said...

Rockdog: Thanks man! Most people say that he looks a lot more like my wife, but lately people have said that he looks like me. At least two or three people have said that. I think.

Canadian Flake: Thanks. I hope it goes smooth.

Jay: I'm gonna have to wait on that big screen TV for a little longer, but next season has a lot of potential.

Burfica: Thanks! Ya know, there is a way for you to get a Max... LOL!

Willsix: While I paint Allyson and Erika pack. I like it. I'm completely worthless when it comes to packing anyway. Allyson can't even stand to watch me load the dishwasher. LOL!

captain corky said...

Tod: My action figures get their own room in the basement. They, and Allyson are very excited. LOL!

Real Live Lesbian: Thanks! Not exactly a castle, but definitely an upgrade.

David McMahon: I think the plane flight would have been a bit too long for Max. And by Max I mean me. ;)

Feels Like Home: Thank you! Do you have any boxes by any chance? ;)

Fiwa: I needs me a Mancave! I've been waiting all my life to set up my secret HQ.

captain corky said...

Leslie: Any excuse for a comment-a-thon is a good one. Great suggestion!

Whim: It could be worse. I could be moving on Labor Day and we all know that I need to be right in front of my computer each and every Labor Day. LOL

Dawn: Yes, I may even give my beerbong it's own room. LOL

Princess: Holy Double shit!!! ;)

Dilling: We will have our tree up. Come hell or high water.

captain corky said...

Keshi: Good to see you back my friend!

Har: Mostly like his Mom. There's a picture of me on the bottom of this blog, but you really can tell much from that pic.

Maddy: I'm enjoying every second of it, but it seems like every time I get used to something, it's time for something new. All amazing stuff though.

Metal Mark: True! I could never do this during the playoffs. Friday is moving day, Saturday is unpacking day, and then tree setting up day, and Sunday is Football. Just like it always is!

Crusty: I'm just glad we're going to have a nice big back yard for Max.

captain corky said...

Hoosiergirl5: I hope things are going well with you and him. ;)

Karma: Definitely! We're going to go back when he's a year and do a family portrait.

Aunt Jackie: Don't worry, I'm always around. ;)

Josie: Merry Christmas, but hopefully I'll see you before that. ;)

Joshua: I don't believe in waiting. And things are going smoothly. Kind of. ;)

captain corky said...

Gina: Thanks! That would save me a lot of money Gina. ;)

Thebirdman33: I hope so too, and my tree should have been up on Thanksgiving Day, but the good news is that we're getting a real tree this year.

MJD: We got there a little after 4 and didn't leave until almost 9. True story. They were pretty backed up.

HI Corky,

sorry I haven't been around. Sick, ya know? And so busy with Christmas and parties and being sick. Oh, I'm repeating myself. So, I love Christmas music, movies, etc... And, I love Jr.'s portraits. Tre beautiful.

I moved into my brand new home when Emily was 10 days old. Interesting. You'll have lots of stories to tell with this one.

Be well, be happy!
