Boy Small

Based on the cover of this comic book, how much faith do you place in the Comics Code Authority stamp of approval?

I'm currently working on a top secret project that involves Max, the years 2007 and 2008 and a blog. I think one day he'll really appreciate watching his life in technicolor. I know I thoroughly enjoy watching my life on TV.

The Birdman has some really cool videos of us from way back in the early 1990's, maybe we can work on getting them on the computer so we can show them during an airing of The Captain Corky/Birdman Variety Hour.

Ladies, Gentlemen, and Leather Clad Freaks, I give you--Boy Small:

you're in trouble - it looks like he's almost standing!

How did this happen so fast?

He is so darn cute. Are you sure he's really yours ;)

More of Max! More of Max!

We love cute Max movies.

Hey - after mad max Mel Gibson thought he might do Fat Max at 50. I think Cute Max and the Legend of Thunderpants would be a great film :)

This kid is one coffee table away from walking.

It's Max, the cutest baby in the universe! I approve of anything involving Max, so I'm looking forward to more videos.

Oh Corky...what a sweetie. I love that "sit back and park it" stage. He is so precious. I miss those days sometimes. You must be so proud.

When can I come see him? Please, pretty please.....(whining)

Sure, entice us to the blog with amazingly cute Max videos! You know how to increase your blog traffic, don't you??

Are you ready to start running 'cause I can tell that Max is!

Ah! I love the movie! I thought for a minute there he was going to stand up! He sure is growing fast and strong. All I can say is, this too shall be mine one of these days!

hold crap he's crawling! Have I been gone that long?

He's so cute and bouncy and smiley!!

Jerrster said...

gosh I wonder what Superboy did to deserve the harsh punishment of being beaten raw with Ma Kent's hairbrush? Not that he's all that worried by the expression on his face. Oddly Superboy looks about 25 and Pa Kent is looking like he's near his 60's...something just doesn't seem right with this image. Oh well it's a comic book right?

Anonymous said...

I can't view the video from here Corky, I'll be able to check it out over the weekend when I get back to "The Bird Cage". That is my super hero lair, NOT a bad movie starring Robin Williams!

I really want to get those videos of us loaded on to a computer though, I'll see what I can do on this end so it doesn't have to wait til next time I'm in Kentucky.

Corky, can you set me up with that thing that shows who is linking to your blog?

Wonder Boy Small!!

captain corky said...

Whim: Thanks! Very, very fast...

Leighann: Thanks! We never get tired of hearing that. ;)

Furiousball: For you my friend, I might even read to him tomorrow. One minor problem though... he likes to rip the pages.

Maddy: Are you calling me some kind of baby pusher. ;)

Nancy: Yeah, it's moving faster than a speeding bullet. I'm sorry, I can't help myself. ;)

captain corky said...

Jahooni: Every once in a while Kentucky's good for something besides horses. ;)

Pink: Yeah, he's pulling himself up already. A full feature film starring Max (and co-starring Corky) is great idea!!!

Beader: You really know how to say the right things to me. ;)

Leslie: It's amazing that you said that, because later on in the day he was pulling himself up using the couch. You have special precognitive powers. ;)

Fiwa: Corky knows and sees all. ;)

captain corky said...

Hoosiergirl5: It's amazing how fast he changes. It seems like everyday!

Rockdog: Instead of walking into a booth to change into his costume, Corky Jr takes three shots of Whiskey. There are two costumes at babies are Us that I've been eyeing since I found out that Allyson was pregnant and both have capes. Soon my friend, soon.

Bonnie Blue: The more you mention it, the more I like it. ;)

Dilling: Funny you should mention that, Maynard G Krebs is one of Max's heroes, and pretty soon he'll be calling me daddy-o. ;)

Lady K: Thanks! I hope you get a chance to watch the video at some point!

captain corky said...

Flake: Thanks!!! For the life of us, we can't figure out why he is so pretty, but he is and we feel blessed.

Tod: Enjoy the ear worm. You know where to come if you want more. ;)

Feel like Home: Max hasn't done anything to the computer... yet. ;)

Burfica: Something tells me Max isn't going to have any problems when it comes to dating, except that maybe he'll be a late bloomer, like his old man. ;)

Dana: Blog Traffic?!? Don't anything about it. ;)

PS I'm so fucked, I better get my ass to the gym.

captain corky said...

Patti: Have I ever told you how MUCH I love comments, about me, Max, or my blog? Keep up the good work. ;)

Gawilli: Everyday is amazing. I know my mom and Allyson's mom love being grandmothers. ;)

Tuesday: He changes so fast. Just when I get used to something, it's too late. It's amazing though. ;)

Princess: Thanks! He's very happy, except when he's hungry. Just like his dad. ;)

Jerrster: Yeah, and that comic was written in the 50's...

I like how Ma Kent has a dish towel. LOL!

captain corky said...

Birdman: We might have to bring it somewhere, but then we can edit it. KJR might be able to help us. If he's not to busy pulling his pud.

Casdok: Exactly! ;)

Terri said...

wow; his super powers are coming along; I can see the curl power in his little toes and the flinding super bright beam from his teefers and eyeballs. You're raising a might fine super hero there Corky. Keep up the videos and reports.

Guilty Secret said...

Aw! I can't believe he's almost standing up!

What a cute little critter!

*Quickly closing browser window and stepping away from the computer before my ovaries explode*

Justin's Mom said...

They grow so fast! I can't believe he's old enough to crawl already. He's going to be walking before you know it.

And he really is one of the cutest little guys I've seen. Adorable!

Unknown said...

I'm in love...with Max not you!
I saw him try to stand up, you are in for trouble, and what are you dementing that kid with music wise????

Anonymous said...

Dude, your video is making my uterus hurt.

Can't. Have. Another. Child. Yet.

Pink Icing said...

Everything's been said...He is a scrummy little chap

Anonymous said...

Can't watch the video just yet since I'm at work, but I wanted to say - that comic book cover looks like comic porn!! Craziness. Made me laugh though. I'll check out the video later tonight.

Em

CRUSTY MOM-E said...

soo adorable! I liked his expression mid crawl, and then he busts out in the smile as if to say, "daddy, I just dropped a nice scent, can you smell it yet?"

He will be walking soon, I can't believe how big he's grown..you will have quite a mover and shaker on your hands.

All you needed for the video is a bit of some Superhero background music going..but Knick Knack Paddy whack goes great too, especially referencing superman's troublesome spanking...

Happy Growing little Max!!

Sincerely,
Elizabeth

ALF said...

What an awesome project!

Scarlett said...

Captain! He is absolutely beautiful! I miss those days...back before they could speak! lol Besides, they are so damn cute at that age...they can do nothing wrong!

I didn't realize that ma and pa Kent were spankers....wonder what other kinky things they were up to? ;-)

Was super-baby/boy/man born in that suit? And ten cents for a comic book...hell, ten cents for any thing other than a piece of gum, today would be sweet!

captain corky said...

Terri: Thanks! Just the other day I was changing a flat tire on my truck and the jack slipped! Would have killed me if Jr wasn't there to catch and lift the back end of the truck. ;)

Har: My secret's out. And all a long I wanted you to believe it was the drugs... ;)

Guilty: Careful... First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Guilty pushing a baby carriage. ;)

Justin's Mom: I know, it's amazing. I can't say this enough, but every time I get used to what he's doing, he starts doing something else.

Mama Bear: We have music toys attached to his crib, and I had him the crib for a second before I did the video. But really Max is very partial to my singing voice. ;)

captain corky said...

Pink Icing: You're the first person to call him a scrummy little chap! I like it. ;)

Emmeline: Nothing like a little Superboy porn to start your day off just right. ;)

Crusty: Next time I'll play the theme song to Superman the Movie. My lawyer just has to work out some of legalities. ;)

Willsix: Makes want to drag the woman into the cave and knock her up again. If only she'd let me... ;)

Katie: Thanks! Corky's log: The anti birth control. ;)

captain corky said...

Alf: It's going to be awesome when it completed. I look forward to watching it with my wife in 40 years or so... ;)

Scarlett: Thanks! Ma and Pa Kent were some real freaks. I never knew... ;)

I use 10 cents a longs with 35 other cents to get my first coffee in the morning. Other than that, I think the dime has become completely useless. LOL

Aunt Jackie said...

He is getting so big already!! Wow, he's growing into a wonderful superhero.

jAMiE said...

Oh i love that...and he's totally handsome in black. Won't be long before he is walking...looks like he wants to get up and do it now.

Christie said...

I think it is safe to say you have a baby-sitter in every state. Come to Washington and I will gladly watch Boy Small!

P.S. I wouldn't include Leather Clad Freaks on a caption where you ask people to watch a video of your kid.

Billy said...

These are truly my favorite posts. Looks like he is ready to stand up. I can't believe how much he has grown! What a cute little man!

Billy said...

Surely you will allow us to send gifts on the little man's birthday, right?

Jay said...

So I'm guessing that right after you turned the camera off he jumped up, and spin kicked the camera out of your hands, right?

DJ Kirkby said...

Awwww what a sweetie! Ahem...biscuit coloured carpet in a baby's bedroom? Are you SURE that is a good idea????

Knight said...

It's so nice of you to post the cutest child ever for us leather clad freaks. I love the all black outfit too. It makes me think you dubbed over the rock music in the background with the knick knack paddy whatnot when posting the video.

Unknown said...

That picture is priceless! And we are led to believe that things used to be less tawdry. I think not. Superman was one racy fellow. I know Batman and Robin are gay, but Superman?

Heidi the Hick said...

Dude, that kid of yours just keeps getting better looking.

Cazzie!!! said...

It makes me nearly cry to watch your little man crawl about and then, he did it, for a split second, try to stand up..it won;t be long until he stands on chairs and gets into mischief, LOL.
Little boys melt my heart. I have two of them, and they still love their hugs, even at 8 and 10yrs of age. The girls, they are always mushy and love their huggs too..and they don't care if mummy sings and dances..but the boys do.

Corky, honestly jr is one cute baby. As I was watching that video it ocurred to me I feel like we're all watching him grow before our eyes. The Internet is so great. Even though we don't really know each other, its neat that I feel like I kinda do.

thanks for that video, it is great

Bizarro Aunt Jackie: It's all the spinach, and squash that we've been feeding him. Maybe instead of frozen pizza I should eat some squash. Doubt it though. ;)

Jamie: He's been trying like a mad man. Pretty soon!

Christie: I don't mind leather clad freaks, as long as they behave. ;)

Abbagirl74: Glad you like! And of course we'll except gifts. Let me be clear though, I want my BMW in black. ;)

Jay: LOL! Something like that.

captain corky said...

DJ Kirkby: Don't worry, I always make Max take off his shoes before he crawls on the carpet. ;)

Knight: It's actually a Ramones onesie that my friend got for him a couple of months ago. Didn't the Ramones write knick knack paddy whack? ;)

Ashley: Back when I was in school they didn't talk about all the freaky shit that was going on in the 40's and 50's. All they ever wanted to talk about was World War II and the aftermath. ;)

Heidi: Thanks! It's all the squash I tell you. ;)

Cazzie: Right now Max loves when we sing to him. I wonder how long until he start holding his ears and makes faces at us. LOL!

captain corky said...

Karma: Yeah, it's classic!

Melissa: In April if all goes according to plan. ;)

Maddy: Thanks! It was very thoughtful, and nice of you to think of me. ;)

Biscuit: Thanks! And welcome!!!

Emmeline: Sweet! What kind of snacks should I load up the fridge with? ;)

captain corky said...

Pilgrimchick: Yeah, I'm 37 years old and I still enjoy knocking things over. LOL!

Palm Springs Savant: Thanks! I love being able to share my experience like this with my family and friends and all of the friends I've made through blogging. It's really cool!

I often wondered about how Clark Kent's parents handled discipline, har har. :) Hillarious find!

Jean-Luc Picard said...

Ah, they don't make comics like that anymore!

honkeie said...

Gina said...

He is just too adorable for words!

And yeah, hey, no taunting the leather-clad freaks. We have feelings too, you know.

Joshua said...

Maybe I'll just put movies of your kid on my blog. Then they way I could get 70+ comments too! That would be soo cool!

Sounds like a great Idea.

Well that is a neato kid you got there sir. Just wait until he grows up and finds out that his dad filmed him growing up :o

captain corky said...

Indigo: I love classic comic covers they're the best!

Jean-Luc Picard: Actually they do, But not in any store that I'll ever admit to going into...

Honkeie2: Thanks! And don't forget drugs. The first time is always the best. LOL!

Gina: I love me some leather on a woman, as long as she's not dressed like the gimp in Pulp fiction. That's a bit much for my tastes. ;)

Joshua: Normally I would agree with you, but this time I think it's the Superboy comic. LOL!

Peggy said...

He's just about as perfect a baby as I've seen! What a wonderful smile he has!

I LOVE his t-shirt too!
