49

I've realized that with Max, work, the 2009 NFL Draft, Doomsday, Star Trek 11, Wolverine, Spring Cleaning (to be done in between draft picks) Mother's Day, Other Holidays, The Eminent Death of Izzy Stevens, Tax Day, and having to take out the garbage every Monday morning before the bastards get here, it's just about impossible for me to keep track of when Kid Corky comes out of Allyson's stomach and into his rightful place in the living room in front of our TV.

So to help in that department I've added a baby counter to the sidebar. I think the one that I chose, which also happens to be the first one I clicked on, adds a nice slice of ambiance to the log.

But I didn't put it up there just for me... I put it up the counter for YOU as well. I do realise that a lot of YOU have very busy schedules during the next 49 days, and for some of YOU that includes watching the season finale of Lost. I personally have already seen every episode of Lost when it was called, Gilligan's Island. And it just wouldn't be fair of me to assume that YOU'VE been counting down the arrival of Kid Corky for months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds when we haven't even been doing that ourselves.

In Short: I need to make sure that YOU and I have ample time to sort out our lives and I also want to make sure that YOU have enough time to prepare YOUR sacrifices for May 18th. I think the baby counter will help a great deal with that.

Obviously, this post is sponsored by the number 49 and the letter YOU.

You are SO thoughtful! I like the way the baby spins around - don't you think he's getting dizzy in there?

Only 49 days! I can't believe it!

49 days? That will be here before you know it! Thanks for letting us know what day Allyson is due so we can prepare properly.

And by "prepare properly" I mean "have enough beer and tequila to celebrate." ;-)

haha, what jay said:)

interesting counter, makes me think in a few years we'll be watching footage from within the womb on sidebar counters.

You mean to tell me that the 49 th day falls on a Lost night?
Gah..What to do. I was planning on waiting by the phone for my call. I am on the list, right?

I did have something cute/intelligent/cool to say and then you mentioned the Lost season finale and my brain melted in anticipation. Sorry...

Hoosiergirl: I think the baby is enjoying the ride in there. If it were me there would be throw up all over the womb.

Beader: Time is moving at incredible rate. Pretty soon I'll be dropping Max off at college.

Furiousball: Unlike chocolate and peanut butter, me and work are not two great tastes that taste great together.

Jay: Exactly! In celebration I expect you to eat the worm. I would do the same for you.

Porita: That wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Fiwa: I think Jay should definitely host a party for the big day.

It's moving very fast. It's already day 48!

Biddie: Of course you're on the list, but also make sure to look up in the sky for the Corky Signal.

Burfica: Of course you're on the list too.

Mike: I always knew you had good taste in TV.

May 18th is the due date????? That's the 29th anniversary of Mt. St. Helen's eruption....i hope that is not a sign of things to come....

Pissy: Thanks. We're pretty excited. My wife's to-do list is growing by pages every day.

Dilling: I also think May 18th, 2009 is the 20th anniversary of my Senior Prom. I think, Hold on to the Night was the theme song. I wonder what that means...

Wait... Lost is ending already? Didn't it just start this season? Nooooooooo!

Did you say something else? ;)

Tink: It brings me to tears too. Two part Question: Who do you think would win in a fight Gilligan or Hurley and who do you thinks gotten more tail?
